JOIN USA 15-year-old boy died after a tree fell on him in Palanahalli in Chikkajala on Friday. The deceased has been identified as Pratap, a class ten student of a government school. Pratap was residing in Palanahalli with his parents, who work as labourers.
The boy used to sell vegetables after his school to support his studies. On Friday around 6.30 pm, when he was standing under a tree in Palanahalli selling greens, the tree which was old, uprooted in the storm and fell on Pratap.
The passersby who noticed the incident rushed to his rescue and informed the police who took more than 20 minutes to clear the tree and pull him out. By the time they rushed the boy to a nearby hospital, he was declared brought dead as he had suffered from serious head injuries.
