However, there was no damage to the property in the tremor, which measured 3.1 on Richter Scale. The epicentre of the tremor was located 3.5 km east of Kalarurki, according to sources.
Earlier on January 23, Talewada had experienced mild tremors measuring 2.9 on the Richter Scale. Basavanabagewadi tahsildhar Mahadevappa Sasanur has allayed fears among the villagers and said that there was no need to panic as the quakes were of low intensity.
