Here’s a showroom, under the banner of Theme, exclusively dedicated to pianos of all kinds — digital, upright and grand pianos.

Located in Koramangala, the showroom is equipped with state-of-the-art music labs and classrooms to provide a complete learning experience to the students. Piano enthusiasts who turned up at the venue were impressed by the wide range of pianos and tried their hands on everything possible. They were mesmerised by their classic look and sleek designs with perfect finishing. “I’ve been teaching piano from many years and I am really happy with the performance and service provided at the Theme. When compared to other musical instruments, pianos are high-priced, but despite that many people are coming forward to learn this instrument and there is a huge demand for piano teachers. Piano is slowly becoming popular as an instrument and hence the requirement for better guidance. Otherwise they will end up in buying a low quality instrument,” says Githa Chacko, president of Forum for Teachers of Western Classical Music.

In addition to the pianos are books on music. “Digital pianos are cost effective and require no tuning. They are best for beginners. Acoustic pianos are known for their sensitive touch and accurate tones. According to the individual requirements,  musicians make use of both varieties on different occasions,” says Rajendra Chaturvadi, chairman of Theme music company.

Neecia Majolly, a senior pianist expressed her satisfaction about the brand and gave suggestions on how to keep the pianos in good shape.
“I have an upright piano made by the same manufacturers. Due to space constraints I couldn’t afford a grand piano which produces bigger and a more accurate sound. Whichever acoustic piano you may have, don’t forget to tune them regularly. It will
enhance the quality of sound and ensure long life to the instrument,” she wraps up.
