A euphoric extravaganza

In a bid to promote the hidden talents of the students, a two-day inter-college cultural fest ‘Cresindo’ was organised by Sindhi College of Commerce in the college campus recently. The inaugural programme saw guests like actress Pooja Gandhi, actor Yogesh; Prakash Narang, chairman, Sindhi College and Avinash Kukreja, secretary, Sindhi College attending the event.

The gala event began with an invocation song rendered by Tripti Hegde of BBA. The formal programme continued with a welcome address  by Rahul Bhat, president of Student Government Council. Pooja Gandhi, in her address, said that she was excited to be a part of the event. She later sung and entertained the audience.

This was followed by the screening of a video which was specially designed by the students of the college to inaugurate the fest. After the guests were honoured, a vote of thanks was proposed by Vaishnavi, student fest coordinator. Yogesh made his gracious presence and the excitement of the students knew no bounds. He danced, sang and expressed his gratitude for having invited him for this grand event. The events on day one included a group dance which saw 80 performances. The first prize was won by Christ University. Renowned dance masters were invited as judge for the event. As many as 135 colleges participated in the euphoric extravaganza. Events such as ‘Potpourri’, ‘Rangoli’, ‘Collage’, creative writing, duet dance, ‘Mock Stock’ also saw a great response. In the Corporate Fashion Show category, the first place was won by Seshadripuram College.

The events on day two began with more zeal as the crowd poured in as early as 8 am. Events, such as solo singing, saw an overwhelming response with 85 colleges
participating and Jain University won the first prize. Solo dance was also won by Jain University.

Events like gaming, debate, ‘mehendi’, treasure hunt, quiz, cooking without fire, product launch also witnessed enthusiastic participation.

The fashion show was won by Wo! Fashion Institute and photography competition by Presidency College. The overall championship was bagged by Jain University. The highlight was the DJ night where everyone sang and danced.
