Pakistan’s ISI is planning terror attacks in several places in India, including Punjab where it plans to involve Sikh militants by providing them specialised training.

According to intelligence reports, a senior security official said that ISI officials recently held a meeting in Pakistan-Occupied-Kashmir (PoK) with senior operatives of terror outfits like Lashkar-e-Toiba, Jaish-e-Mohammed, Hizbul Mujahideen and Sikh groups Like Babbar Khalsa International and Khalistan Zindabad Force (KZF).

Besides Punjab, the national capital and Jammu and Kashmir have got special attention in these meetings.

Around 15-20 terrorists hailing from PoK are being specially trained for action in Punjab, the official said quoting intelligence reports. The trainees are being acquainted with Sikh traditions and Gurumukhi script besides being familiarised with the topography of Punjab.

The training in Sikh tradition and Gurumukhi script is being held in a religious place for about two months with the help of Ranjeet Singh, the chief of Khalistan Zindabad Force.

The ISI has also provided them with funds and asked them to strengthen their coordination.

Intelligence agencies believe that some of the terrorists may have crossed over to Punjab or about to enter the state. The state police has been put on alert.
According to the intelligence report, arms and ammunition for the attack are to be sent from Jammu and Kashmir by concealing them in cavities created in chassis of trucks going to Punjab.

The official said the inputs have been shared with the Punjab government, Jammu and Kashmir government, the Army and central forces based in the state, BSF, Directorate General of Military Intelligence and CRPF units.
