Located in the busy roads of Koramangala, this cosy little restaurant is popular for its authentic Goan cuisine. ‘Maria’s Goan Kitchen’, owned by Maria Fernandes, is located in 7th block Koramangala, right opposite Corner House.

“Maria’s Goan Kitchen’ came up out of boredom, I wanted to get into business and food was the first thing that came to mind. For which nothing could have been a perfect place then Koramangala. We started as a cartering business which we slowly developed into a restaurant a month and a half back,” says Maria.

The ambience resembles a lot like the interiors of a Goan house. And the homely taste of the food, and gesture of chef Maria, makes it overwhelming. One can start their meal with chicken cutlet, chicken ‘Cafreal’ or butter garlic prawns for starters, The chicken cutlet is soft and a great treat to one’s tastebuds, the taste is very homely. For main course one can go for Chicken ‘vindaloo’ or chicken ‘xacuti’, which are popular Goan semi-curry dishes. While chicken ‘xacuti’ is made with coconut.

Chicken ‘vindaloo’ is on a more spicier side. Both these curries are served with either plain rice or ‘ghee’ rice. Apart from these, one can also try Maria’s popular pork ‘sorpotel’ and pork chops.  One can also have ‘Bebinca’, a Goan sweet dish to complete the meal. As for the music, the playlist varies from classic rock to the current popular ones.
