Berns showers accolades on Indian workers

Managing Director and President of Bosch Group India Steffen Berns was all praise for his colleagues in India for bringing out cutting-edge technologies not only for the country but also for the globe.

Speaking at Bosch Vocational Centre as part of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and German Chancellor Angela Merkel-led delegation visit, he said India’s software competencies and Germany’s manufacturing competencies are helping the company to roll out Industrie 4.0 initiatives globally.

“We have been working around this for quite a long time. Bosch is a supplier of technology and services, and offers a broad range of solutions such as drives, automation, sensors, software, and predictive maintenance. Industrie 4.0 will be implemented at our 14 India facilities in a phased manner.”

In emerging markets such as India, Bosch focuses on products and solutions that are tailored to the local market.

“The Indian government is systematically addressing key issues. We are confident that this will positively impact the country’s development,” he said.
