The leading women's tennis doubles pair of Sania Mirza and Martina Hingis marched into the final of the China Open, thumping the Chinese duo of Chen Liang and Yafan Wang 6-2, 6-3 in a one-sided clash here on Friday.

The Indo-Swiss pair, the topmost team in the doubles circuit this year, needed one hour and seven minutes to claim the semi-final in the $4.7 million prize money tournament.

Sania-Martina dominated the match in all departments, winning 32 service points compared to 24 by their opponents at the Beijing Olympic Green Tennis Center, built for the 2008 Olympic Games.

They also achieved 25 return points, five more than their wildcarded opponents. They bagged 57 of the total 101 points played and converted five of the nine break points opportunities received. The Indo-Swiss duo won 73 of the 131 points played in the match.

The top seeds earlier beat the German-Czech pairing of Julia Goerges and Karolina Pliskova 7-6(5), 6-4 in the quarter-finals on Thursday.

Sania and Martina are the reigning Wimbledon and US Open champions. Sania has now reached the final of this event for the fourth time in a row, winning the 2013 title with Zimbabwean Cara Black.
