<p>Chairperson of the Centre for Economics, Environment and Society, Bengaluru, Professor K N Ninan has been selected as the Co-Chair of an assessment group constituted by the Inter-governmental platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (IPBES), United Nations. <br /><br /></p>.<p>Ninan, an ecological economist has been a visiting professor in many international universities. <br /><br />The assessment group is tasked with preparing a report on the use of scenarios for undertaking environmental assessments and advise the government on measures to combat loss of biodiversity and ecosystem services.<br /><br /></p>
