Kannada writer Dr M Chidananda Murthy on Friday said the writers returning awards have gone mad and he will never do that.
“It is the responsibility of the investigation agencies to apprehend the killers of MM Kalburgi and other rationalists. It is not correct to put pressure on the State and the probe agencies. Such pressure tactics do not serve any purpose,” he said at a press meet here on Friday.
Dr Murthy said that in India people worshipped cow as ‘Kamadhenu’. The ban on cow slaughter is already in force in other states and it should be enforced in Karnataka also, he said.
