Businesswoman murdered at office

Two assailants take worker hostage at gunpoint

A 45-year-old woman who was the owner of a small printing press was murdered by two unidentified assailants at her rented office in east Delhi’s Shakarpur on Wednesday afternoon.

The victim has been identified as Nisha Khan.

According to police, the incident took place around 2 pm when two unidentified men entered her rented office on the pretext of discussing some business with the owner.

Khan offered tea to the duo which they readily agreed.

Out of the two employees of the press who were there, one was sent by Khan to get some tea for the guests.

Slit her throat
As soon as the employee left the office, one of the men held the second employee hostage at gunpoint and in the meantime, the other one slit Khan’s throat with a knife.
Both the accused fled from the spot after murdering Khan.

Brought dead
The employees then made a police control room call following which police rushed the victim to a nearby hospital, where she was declared brought dead.

Police also said the assailants robbed one of the employees of Rs 8,000.
According to police, Nisha Khan’s husband had died few years ago.

Living with her three children in West Vinod Nagar, she had taken a room for rent in Shakarpur to start the printing press where she employed two people.

Police said she was into a book-binding business. Police suspect that someone known to the victim could be behind the murders.

A case of murder has been registered with Shakarpur police station under section 302 of the Indian Penal Code.

Police are talking to the two employees who saw the murderers to know more about the incident.
Three children and some relatives of the deceased are also being questioned to find out more about the incident.
