JOIN USThe Chamrajpete police have arrested five persons in connection with the murder of a history-sheeter.
The arrested are: Deepak alias Pattabhi, Surya, Vinod, Sunil alias JJ and Raghunandan alias Alu. The main accused Suresh alias Adoor Suresh is still absconding.
According to the police, Sanjay alias Chandala, was hacked to death by the five-member gang on November 19 in Chamrajpete. Suresh, the mastermind, was serving life term in jail and was released on bail during BBMP elections. When Suresh learnt that Sanjay was gaining popularity among people and building contacts with top political leaders, he felt jealous and hatched a plan to murder him, said the police.
Suresh also learnt that Sanjay was planning to murder him. So Suresh paid some cash to Deepak and his associates to eliminate Sanjay.

In another case, the Mico Layout police arrested six persons who hacked a 21-year-old rowdy sheeter to death.
According to police, the arrested have been identified as Jayakrishna, Gangadhar, Gangaraju, Anand, Swamy and Appi.
Kuldeep, who was known for his notorious activities, was hacked to death on November 21 near Siddaguntapalya. He was taking his mother to a hospital, when the six accused waylaid his car, pulled him out of the vehicle and hacked him to death.
They fled the spot after the incident. Jayakrishna and Kuldeep were not in good terms and had developed some differences over financial issues. Jayakrishna decided to murder Kuldeep and executed it along with his associates, the police added.
