Turkish firm eyes aviation biz in India
Celebi Holding, one of the largest business conglomerates from Turkey, has said it will invest $ 100 million in the Indian aviation sector by end-2010.
It will make these investments in ground handling at the Delhi International Airport Private Limited and Mumbai International Airport Private Limited and of the cargo handling services at the Delhi airport.
“With these successful ventures, the firm provides services at two of India’s largest and most important airports and with its current operations now serves about half of all of the international flight traffic moving in and out of India. We will also bring the latest technology for the airports to ensure smoother operations”, Canan Celebioglu Tokgoz, Vice Chairperson, Celebi Holding said. Celebi is bringing in $30 m worth of most contemporary ground handling equipment from the world’s best suppliers thereby bringing the cutting edge IT software for resource planning, rostering and operation planning to these two fast growing airports.
