The team, including four couples from Germany, will ride 14 Royal Enfield Classic bikes and traverse a length of 1,800 kms through Madikeri, Udupi, Manipal, Goa, Dandeli, Chikmagalur and Shravanabelagola.

The tour, aimed to promote goodwill and peace, was officially flagged off at the Rotary House of Friendship. The tour will conclude on February 18.
Organised for the first time in the country, the international ride, described as a ‘biking bond between nations’, will offer the participants an opportunity to interact with the local people and also get a glimpse of the Western Ghats.

Rotary International has organised the event to coincide with the World Understanding and Peace Month in February. The organisation has encouraged the Rotarians from around the world to come together in the area of activity which they are passionate about.
According to District Governor Rtn S Nagendra, the meet is usually organised as part of the annual International Convention in June. This year the convention is being held at Montreal, Canada.

India Chapter chairman Rtn Ramdas Pai, World Secretary Rtn Cornelius Neufert and International Fellowship of Motorcycling Rotarians (IFMR) World President PDG Rtn Dr Prithvi Raval also participated in the ride.
