<div>A 14-year-old girl was kidnapped while she was on her way to school and gang-raped in a moving car by six men for around five hours on Thursday in outer Delhi’s Ranhola.<br /><br />Five of the six men were arrested when a police patrol caught them while they were driving with the girl. One of them, however, managed to flee from the spot.<br /><br />The accused have been identified as Ramesh, Narendra, Rahul, Sandeep and Suraj.<br />The girl is a student of class 8, and lives in the neighbourhood of one of the accused, Rahul. She left for her school around 7.30 am, and was walking on the roadside. Rahul along with his five friends drove up to her. One of them, picked her up and put her in the car, police said.<br /><br />“They then gagged the girl with their hands and drove away from the crowded area,” said a police officer investigating the case.<br /><br />“They took the vehicle towards an isolated area and kept on driving adjacent to a water channel. Once they were sure that nobody was noticing them, each of the six men took turns to rape the minor girl. They kept on raping the girl in the moving car and warned her of dire consequences if she screamed,” he added.<br /><br />After some time, a police team comprising three policemen passed by. They spotted the vehicle which was moving suspiciously near Hiran Kund village. “The policemen gestured to the driver to stop the vehicle. Once the car halted, they questioned the dishevelled girl about the reason of her presence along with six male adults. Initially, she was scared but opened up after some time before the policemen,” the police officer added.<br /><br />After listening to her ordeal, the policemen nabbed all of them. However, one managed to escape. The policemen then called a police control room van, and the men were taken to the police station.A case under section 363 (kidnapping), 376 D (rape by one or more persons) of IPC, and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, was registered. Police are now trying to trace the sixth suspect.</div>
