Following the call given for the revival of Janata Parivar at the national level by Samajwadi Party leader Mulayam Singh Yadav, some of the State JD(S), JD(U) and members of socialist organisations got together to chalk out an action plan for Karnataka in this regard.

JD(S) leaders Basavaraj Horatti, M C Nanaiah, Mahima Patel, JD(U) leader M P Nadagouda, trade union activist Michael Fernandes, former legislators N Thippanna, N S Khed and MLA B R Patil who contested on a KJP ticket, participated in a meeting in the City on Thursday.

The leaders have unanimously decided to form a State level committee and tour all the districts in the State to understand the pulse of the workers on whether or not the parties should fight the next elections under the umbrella of Janata Parivar.

The leaders said that the Bihar elections had set a precedent, finally resulting in the meeting, which was being put off for over an year. JD(S) leader M C Nanaiah said that it was important for all the like-minded parties to come together to give a befitting reply to the national parties, especially the BJP.
