MOOC for healthcare professionals
edX’s new business course called ‘Healthcare in India: Strategic Perspectives’ applies a strategic lens to the sector’s submarkets including hospitals, pharmaceutical firms and diagnostic equipment providers. Learners will examine the role of disruptive innovation and the ways in which public policy shapes the evolution of healthcare markets. With this framework, they will be able to evaluate which employer to join, which healthcare stocks to invest in, where the exciting business opportunities lie, and what are the unmet needs in this sector that can be addressed by a startup. Learners will learn about the unique contradictions and challenges that define Indian healthcare.

Taught by IIMBx, the course kicks off on January 6, 2016. This five week course is the first MOOC to focus on healthcare markets in India and requires an effort of only three to four hours per week. For more details, visit www.edx.org/course/healthcare-india-strategic-perspectives-iimbx-st260x.
