Nuance on hiring spree: Executive

Nuance Communications, a US-based provider of voice and language solutions, will hire 150 to 180 every month, over the next year, in Bengaluru, said Suresh Nair Head – India Operations, Nuance Transcription Services, Nuance Communications.

Globally, the company has 12,000 employees in transcription operations, with cutting-edge compensation that includes both fixed and variable income. Out of this, 4,000-5,000 employees are based in India.

“Nuance is one of the world’s largest automatic speech technology companies in the world, and 50 per cent of the Nuance Transcription business comes from India,” said Eric Tinch, Vice President, Global Human Resources, Healthcare Division, Nuance Communications.

The company on Thursday announced the opening of two new offices in Bengaluru that can accommodate 3,000 people across three shifts.

The new offices — one at the Salarpuria Aura on Outer Ring Road in South Bengaluru and another at the Manyata Embassy Tech Park at Nagavara in North Bengaluru, are a result of the all-India expansion programme, which was announced by the company, last year.
