Conference on water loss from Sunday

International Water Association and Indian Water Works Association will host the 8th edition of ‘IWA Water Loss 2016’ in Bengaluru from January 31 to February 3.

The conference, supported by Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board and Karnataka Urban Water Supply and Drainage Board, would be held at Lalit Ashok hotel with the theme: Minimum losses, implementation of latest technologies, implementing proactive policies and through sustainment.

The meet would be addressed by more than 100 international speakers and attended by over 600 delegates. Forty companies would showcase their expertise at an exhibition.

The event will see the participation of over 30 countries, including Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Indonesia, Israel, Malaysia, Singapore, the UK and the USA.Chief Minister Siddaramaiah will be part of the programme on February 1.

The key highlights of the summit are: Holistic approach towards water loss; rural safe drinking water management; intermittent water supply – the challenge of transitioning to 24/7; innovative technology to treat water with zero water loss.
