Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and Zaheer Khan joined Yuvraj Singh's campaign to educate 100 cancer-affected kids on the World Cancer Day.

On the occasion of World Cancer Day, which was observed yesterday, Yuvraj announced 'Together We Can', a crowd-funding initiative on DesiredWings.com.

Pledging to take his fight against cancer to the people, Yuvraj vowed his support to raise money through this crowd funding initiative. The money raised will be used for the education of young cancer survivors.

Today, the campaign went live on www.desiredwings.com. Money raised will be utilised to give scholarships to 100 children for their primary and higher education.

Often, families of these cancer patients and survivors exhaust all their savings during the prolonged treatment and are left with little or no money to fund their children's education.

The idea behind the initiative is to support the education of these young cancer patients and survivors who belong to the underprivileged section of the society and help them in securing their future.

"Out of all my centuries I feel the most proud in sponsoring education of 100 cancer affected kids. Join me in batting against cancer and let's give wings to survivors and contribute on Together We Can Campaign," Yuvraj, who recently made a comeback to international cricket, said.

The 'Together We Can' crowd funding campaign aims to raise Rs. 2.5 crore.
