After working for the small screen for over a decade, model-turned-actor Karan Singh Grover made his Bollywood debut with Alone in 2015. In this he played the lead opposite Bipasha Basu.

The actor was next seen in the movie Hate Story 3 by Vishal Pandya’s. Both movies failed to grab eyeballs but his acting skills were appreciated by the critics.  The actor, who has now got taste of both the mediums, says it is hard to weigh which is more taxing.

He says, “From the perspective that you are portraying a talent, it is not different. The medium and reach to the audience is the only major change. It’s not like you act differently for films and for TV; the art is one. I’m still doing the same thing but no longer on a daily basis. We are not doing half-an-hour episodes but a two-and-a-half hour film. So the pressure is less. Films are a little more laid back in terms of time.”

“Schedules in films are easier but then in my last film that also changed. We shot six to eight scenes a day like we used to do for TV serials. So it’s not easy,” says Grover who will turn 34 on February 23.

Meanwhile, the actor who is known for his sharp features and dapper look calls himself a “stylish man” and explains what fashion means to him.

“Style is something that comes from within and fashion is something that people make along the way. We need to understand what looks good on your body type and dress up according to that. Fashion for me is to be comfortable.  If you are comfortable with what you wear than you will be able to carry anything and that kind of ends up showing what you believe in,” says the actor who was in the capital to launch the revamped store of Forever 21 at Pacific Mall.  The actor will next be seen in 3 Dev in which he is playing the role Vishnu.
