With a name so interesting, it’s certainly the place every foodie would like to try. ‘Bakasura’ in Indian mythology was a demon who used to ‘live’ to eat. Living by its name, ‘Bakasur’ serves a huge array of delicacies in their menu.

Starting from Indian cuisine, the menu expands to Chinese and Continental too. One can look forward to an extensive buffet spread, while you relax, relish on different dishes plattered for the foodie in you.

“To avoid monotony, we make sure to change our menu every week. Though we have all the cuisines prepared everyday, the dishes sees a change,”says Yashwant Singh, the owner.

While filling your plates with the different varieties of starters, that includes both vegetarian and non- vegetarian delights (‘papads’ and kebabs to ‘chaats’, fish fry, dimsums and pastas), one should make sure to look into the portions as you don’t want to fill yourself up with only that. They also have a special section arranged with exotic ingredients, where one can make their own salads.

While you sit back and relish the starters don’t forget to go through their drinks menu that serves refreshing lassis, milkshakes, mocktails, flavoured sodas, soft drinks, and more. The main course menu is a wide spread of appetising dishes ranging from ‘biryani’, steamed rice (for those who like it plain), Indian breads (‘naans’, stuffed ‘parathas, ‘kulchas’, and more) served along with chicken, fish and paneer curries, these being some of their standard items (though the recipe changes every week).

Once you have munched on their main course, and if you still have some space left, do take a round towards their dessert counter that exhibits some of the most delectable sweets. From the classic ‘jalebis’ and ‘gulab jamuns’ to mousse, ‘phirini’, pastries and fresh cut fruits that one can customise with their available choice of ice creams.
The ambience of the restaurant is bright (with the colour yellow playing a
dominant role).

This gives out a warm and cosy feel and is perfect if you are out in a huge group and looking for a pocket friendly buffet place. The vegetarian and non-vegetarian buffets are priced 627 and 689 respectively, inclusive of taxes.

Bakasur is located at Indraprastha Equinox, 4th Floor, Near Sony Signal, 100 Feet Inner Ring Road, Koramangala 6th Block. For details, call 49653279.
