<div>The Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) will announce the first list of allotment of 5,000 sites at Kempegowda Layout by June 15. But the allottees need to wait for another 10 months before getting the physical possession of the plots.<br /><br />The development authority has plans to carve 10,000 sites on 3,000 acres of land in the first phase of the KG Layout. Of which, 5,000 sites will be allotted to the applicants while 3,000 plots will be allotted to land losers under the 40:60 acquisition formula.<br /><br /> A senior BDA official said if the allotment is made in a month, allottees can start construction on ground only after March 2017. The authority is yet to process all the applications, invite objections, re-process them based on objections before allotting the sites. <br /><br />The BDA official said, “We have formed 10,001 sites measuring 6X9 metres, 9X12, 12X18 and 15x24 metres (20x30 square feet, 30x40, 40x60, 50x80 and 80x120 sq ft). The development authority has laid roads, RCC side drains. Sites have been demarcated and marked. Proper numbering is yet to be done. The work on stormwater drains is underway, but roadside culverts, drains and water pipelines are yet to constructed or laid. This will be done by the Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board. We will be requesting them to do this work on a priority basis. Spaces for parks and playgrounds are yet to be identified.” <br /><br />BDA Secretary Kantharaj said the development authority has received 31,682 applications for sites. First preference will be given to land losers and 3,000 sites have been set aside for them. <br /></div>
