With the idea of introducing wholesome and fresh Continental meals at an affordable price, ‘YoMama!!’ started in June last year. Being in the market for almost a year, this cosy little place has received encouraging feedback from food lovers across the city.

It is the brainchild of Vibha Ghorpade and it is her passion for food and all things culinary that led her to open the restaurant. “My husband and I have always been passionate about food. Exploring food across the city has always been an adventure for us. I wanted to start a restaurant that would make customers feel welcome and make them come back again,” says Vibha.

Though the interior is kept simple, the colours used in the ambience make one feel warm and comfortable. The menu has a wide range of food for customers to try and the best part is the way they have categorised it. To start your meal, dig into the crunchy fritters and also ask for a plate of cheesy ‘paneer’, ‘chicken cheese bombs’ or juicy ‘chicken wings’ (try it with the mouthwatering honey chilli sauce.) While you are enjoying your starters, ask for a glass of ‘Oreo thickshake’ (it is one of their fast selling items), and you will not regret.

For the main course, you have a range of dishes to choose from. The restaurant is popular for their ‘tandoori chicken steak’, burgers (Mexican Mama chicken or YoMama loves cheese chicken burger) and even rice items like the spicy ‘peri peri chicken with rice’. And then turn the pages of the menu for some delectable desserts. Ask for a ‘monkey delight’ or an ‘oreo blizzard’ (which is a simple yet delightful dish of vanilla ice cream topped with crushed Oreo.)

The restaurant also caters to seasonal dishes and as of now, they are serving some enchanting mango savouries. Even the pancakes and waffles they serve are something to look forward to. The ‘Grand-Slam breakfast’ combos, as Vibha says, are gratifying and much sought-after. ‘YoMama!!’, sees a mixed crowd — from students and youngsters to senior citizens — who come to savour the exotic flavours. It is located at G2/Smart Avenue, 80 Ft Road, Near Sapna Book House, Indiranagar. For details, call 9066024189.
