<p>Rajarajeshwari Nagar MLA Munirathna recently warned the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) administration that a flyover in his constituency will collapse, if the burning of waste under it is not stopped immediately.<br /><br /></p>.<p>He spoke about the poor solid waste management in the city at the BBMP council meeting last week. Everyday tonnes of waste is set on fire under the flyover which will melt the shock-absorber rubbers, he expressed apprehension.<br /><br />“Everyday tonnes of waste is set on fire at Hoskerehalli, Laggere, Lakshmidevi Nagar, J P Park and various other places. Records show that at least 100 fire tenders have been rushed so far to douse the fire of these garbage piles,” Munirathna claimed.He accused the officials of generating bogus bills stating that waste is being sent to Seegehalli and Kannahalli processing units.<br /></p>
