Armed gang robs two women of jewels

A gang of four youths robbed two women of their gold chain and other valuables at knifepoint on Adugodi main road in the early hours of Wednesday.

According to the police, the victim Prema (name changed) and her friend, both residents of Koramangala, were on their way back home when the incident took place.

The women, who work as waiters in a bar in Koramangala, had ventured out for dinner. Around 1.30 am, they were walking back after finishing their dinner in Koramangala, when two youths came on a bike and snatched the women’s purse and mobile phone.

Soon, two more youths came on another bike, threatened them at knifepoint and made away with 15-gram gold chain from the victim.

The women raised an alarm, but there was none to help as it was a deserted  stretch, said the police .
The Koramangala police have registered a case.
