<p>The water level in major reservoirs of the state has went up following copious rains across the state in the last few days.<br /><br /></p>.<p>The water level in Linganamakki reservoir in Sagar taluk of Shivamogga district has increased to 1761.95 feet against the maximum level of 1,819 feet. The catchment area of the dam has received 34.44 mm of rain.<br /><br />Meanwhile, several parts of Shivamogga district received moderate and intermittent rains on Friday. Bhadravathi, Sagar, Thirthahalli and Hosanagar received moderate rains throughout the day. <br /><br />Similarly, the water level in Harangi reservoir too has increased to 2836.64 feet owing to heavy rains in catchment areas. The inflow into the dam stood at 459 cusecs on Friday. However, rains receded in Dakshina Kannada and Kodagu district on Friday. <br /><br />There were reports of moderate rains in Madikeri, Virajpet, Somwarpet, Bhagamandala and Talacauvery of Kodagu district.<br /><br />Parts of Mandya, Mysuru and Hassan district received moderate rainfall on Friday. Following the rains, inflow to Hemavathi reservoir went up pushing the water level to 2873.39 feet. Mysuru city received little rains.<br /><br />The water level in River Tungabhadra has increased following heavy rains in Shivamogga, Davangere and Haveri districts. Crops grown on the river basin have been submerged.<br /><br />After a break of a day, intermittent rain lashed Dharwad and surrounding areas. The showers continued till late evening leading to waterlogging on several roads. <br />Karwar and Honnavar in Uttara Kannada district received rains towards evening.<br /><br /></p>
