JOIN US KSCA XI’s lower-order batsmen showed enough stomach for fight to earn vital first innings lead against Tripura Cricket Association in the Dr (Capt) K Thimmappaiah memorial all-India invitational tournament here on Sunday.
KSCA XI, overnight 200/4 in pursuit of Tripura’s 337 all out, were served well by their skipper CM Gautam who fell on the verge of a century. Resuming at his bed-time score of 70, the right-hander was eventually dismissed for 95. Shreyas Gopal, who had claimed six wickets in Tripura’s first innings, chipped in with a handy 43 before Ronit More made a crucial unbeaten 30 to help the home team post 352 all out in 97.3 overs. The narrow 15-run lead should help KSCA XI pocket three points.
Tripura were 121 for four in 45 overs in their second innings with More accounting for two of those wickets (2/22).
