Haryana Cricket Association leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal grabbed three wickets to leave KSCA President’s XI on a dicey wicket on the opening day of their Dr (Capt) K Thimmappiah memorial all-India invitational tournament encounter here on Thursday.

The India leggie led the attack in fine fashion, taking 3/36, as Haryana had KSCA President’s XI in a spot of bother at 99/4 in 40 overs when stumps were called on a rain-marred day. Mir Kaunian Abbas scored 43 while Liyan Khan (25) and Sadiq Kirmani (1) were keeping vigil at the crease.

The two other KSCA teams in the fray -- KSCA XI and KSCA Colts -- were forced to spend the entire day in the dressing room as overnight rain and wet conditions didn’t allow a ball to be bowled.
