The Home Department has directed the Anti-Corruption Bureau to conduct a preliminary enquiry against Lokayukta SP Abdul Ahad and Anekal police inspector D S  Rajendra for violating norms.

The two officers are accused of sending documents to private experts for handwriting analysis. The officers should send the documents to government experts for handwriting analysis according to norms.

“The ACB has received a petition by the Home Department. The ACB officers will look into the matter,” a senior ACB officer told Deccan Herald. The documents that were sent to private experts relate to a case involving former Alliance University vice chancellor Dr Madhukar G Angur.

The Board of Directors of the University dismissed him in 2015. Madhukar had lodged a complaint with Anekal police against his former colleagues accusing them of forging the digital signature. He had mentioned the names of Sudhir Angur, Prakash S B, Abhay Chabbi and Shaila Chabbi in the complaint. He had sought action against them, said the police.
