Weekly ‘Walk’ on modern art
The National Gallery of Modern Arts (NGMA) has organised special ‘walks’ on Saturdays to lure art lovers to the gallery. The curators will take visitors through the gallery and introduce them to the language of art and trends in modern Indian art.
NGMA launched this programme in February. On every Saturday, it conducts two walks. A 45-minute walk - Introduction to the Language of Art - between 10.30 am and 11.15 am, another walk - Introduction to Modern Indian Art - between 3 and 4.15 pm.
Krishna Prasad, programme assistant, said the walks are gradually drawing crowd. The experiment will help popularising the events in the gallery.
Only those above 18 years of age are allowed for the walk. There is no extra charge for the walk. Entry fee is Rs 10 per person. The gallery will be open on second Saturdays too. Call: 080- 22201027, 22342338.
