'Citizens For Change' at Mahalakshmipuram today

‘Citizens for Change’, the citizens’ connect initiative of Deccan Herald and Prajavani, comes to Mahalakshmipuram, north Bengaluru, on Saturday.

Residents of Mahalakshmipuram Assembly constituency can air their grievances on drinking water supply, garbage disposal, cleanliness, road safety, parks and lakes, before the elected representatives.

Seven wards will be covered in the event — Nandini Layout (43), Marappana Palya (44), Nagapura (67), Mahalakshmipuram (68), Shakthiganapathi Nagar (74), Shankar Mutt (75) and Vrushabhavathi Nagar (102). The event will provide a platform for people to approach their MLA and corporators and take an initiative to collectively develop their ward(s).

Mahalakshmipuram MLA, K Gopalaiah, and local corporators will take part in the event. Officials from the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP), the Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB), the Bangalore Electricity Supply Company (Bescom) and the traffic police will also be in attendance.

The event will begin at 10 am and go on till 1 pm.  The venue is Hindu Sadara Samudaya Bhavana, No 5A, 12th ‘B’ main road, 4th ‘A’ Cross, West of Chord Road, adjacent to KMWA Vidhyaniketan School, behind Mahalakshmipuram post office.
