Sweet cravings

A glass of chilled ‘lassi’ is what most people would crave for in the evenings. And when that refreshing drink comes in a variety of flavours, what more could one ask for. That’s precisely what ‘The Lassi Park’ in Jayanagar caters to. However, it’s not just ‘lassis’ that this joint offers. They have an array of ice creams, brownie sizzlers, ‘faloodas’, fruit salads, fresh juices and shakes to choose from.

The numerous flavours available in ‘lassis’ are ‘sweet’, ‘salt’, ‘kesar’, ‘mango’, ‘dry fruit’, ‘fruit and cream’, ‘jeera’, ‘pudina’, ‘grape’, ‘pineapple’, ‘black currant’ and more. One just has to take their pick and within no time, you are handed over a tall glass of goodness. The ‘Brownie sizzler’ and ‘Hot fudge’ are much sought-after at the eatery. However, the sizzler is a bit too sweet and they could do with toning down the sweet quotient. For the fruit salad, one can opt to go for double ice cream as well as some jelly to go with it.

Many also visit the place for a scoop of delicious ice cream that again comes in several flavours. They have the simple ones as well as exotic options like ‘Spanish fruity’, ‘Almond fudge’, ‘Scottish chocolate’, ‘Strawberry passion’ and ‘Green vanilla’. For a grand treat, one can opt for family packs to take home and enjoy.

If you like ‘kulfi’, you can go for creamy selections like ‘Mewa pista’, ‘Kesar badam’ and ‘Mango malai’. And they have ‘falooda’ as well. The ‘Banana split’ is a heavy dessert and can almost make for a full meal for dessert lovers.

The fresh juices and lime drinks are quite refreshing and can soothe one after a long day at work. If you want something in between, go for the smoothies that are quite filling. All in all, it’s a good place to stop at if you have a sweet tooth and also, if you don’t want to stuff yourself with food necessarily. ‘The Lassi Park’ is located at 22nd Cross, New Diagonal Road, opposite NMKRV Women’s College, 3rd Block, Jayanagar. It also has branches in Nagawara, Indiranagar and Fraser Town.
