Autopsy confirms rape of minor girl

The autopsy on the body of a nine-year-old girl who was found dead on the terrace of a building at the police quarters in the Kurla suburb of North East Mumbai on Sunday morning has confirmed that she was raped before being murdered.

"The autopsy report confirms that the girl was raped before she was murdered," additional commissioner of police (East) Ritesh Kumar said. Six people have been detained for questioning in connection with the shocking incident.

This is the second incident of rape and murder of a minor girl in Kurla (East) in a month. The police suspect that both the crimes were committed by the same people. A team of five officers has been formed to detect both crimes.
