No festive wear is complete without having the right make-up on. However, if you are looking for make-up  that is subtle yet glamorous, here are a few ways that you can do it:

For a subtle but dewy look

Base: Use a gel-based and pore-reducing primer for your make-up  to emerge smooth and even. For attaining a fresh and dewy finish on your face, a light tinted moisturiser remains a safe bet. Then, apply a tinted peach-coloured blush over the apple of your cheeks to retain the dewiness all day long. Make sure to set the make-up  perfectly using compact powder that matches your skin tone.

A colourless pout: Add charm to this look with a few nude lip colours. This trend is seeing a lot of popularity these days. However, with a tinge of colour, you can take it a whole new level. These tinted lip-colours not only provide a subtle, reflective sheen to your pout but also multiply its effect without adding too much of colour. Nude smoochers are perfect as they completely harmonise with the high fashion bold eye make-up.

If you have a skin tone ranging from peach to yellow, go for shades that have a hint of orange. Or if your skin tone lies somewhere between olive and pink, choose pinkish hues.

Nude doesn’t mean boring. Do not forget to use a good quality lip plumper to draw attention to your colourless lips.

Metallic cheeks: After you are done with the base of your make-up , wear blush. Bright and bold blush in copper, bronze and golden hues are most popular this season. Just a touch of it in your festive make-up  will give you a bright, glamorous feel. Choose from classic metallic colours like gold or silver or metallic tones like bronze and copper that will endow all the sultriness to your cheeks for a glamorous look.

Stunning eyes: Graphic eyeliners are a rage these days. This is simply drawing a pattern along your eye. You can use jet black, dark grey or deep brown coloured liners and eye shadows in brown, beige and taupe shades to create magic with minimal eye make-up. Keeping the shadow in neutral colours will make your graphic liner pop out.

‘Mastani’ look

Eyes: Infuse drama into your eyes through this peeper-focused avatar. You can do it on your own by making large triangles on either side which float away from the eye. Start with a pencil-eyeliner by cutting into a plastic sheet protector, using a stencil to ensure uniformity. The look emerges best in metallic shades. You would want to match the geometric eyeliner with thickened eyebrows as well. The most preferable hue for this look is a royal and bold shade of blue to bring out the diva in you.

Base: Use an Even effect (EE) cream and follow it up by slathering a matching concealer on spots. This will let you avoid cakey-ness and imbibe a natural glow.

Lips: Choose pastel or neutral shades of lipstick according to the occasion. Bubble-gum pink is the safe bet.

60s diva look

Eyes: For this, use a taupe eye-shadow on the upper eyelid and complement it with a black cat-eyed liner. A strong contrast should be done on the upper eyelids to make the cat-eye pop. Add hints of silver on the inner corners of the eyes and end it in the outer corners by drawing wings. This will instantly make your peepers appear bigger. This amalgamation of the 60s with the modern look is sure to turn your into a glistening diva for the night.

Base: Keep it as natural as possible by rounding up on a nude yet radiant base. Though bronzing can still be implemented to chisel-up the face and features. To bring out the face’s warmth, use cream blush.

Lips: Keep the lips neutral to get the maximum impact of this look. Put on a pink-tinted nude lip shade and cover it with a salmon pink gloss to complete the look.

With these easy-to-do looks, your festive make-up  will never look the same again. Try them on today and prepare to glow on the festival days.
