Food grains under PDS released for Kolar district

Kolar, March 11, DH News Service:

The Department of Food and Civil Supplies has released food grains to various categories of ration card holders for the month of March 2010.


Antyodaya Anna card holders are entitled to 29 kgs of rice at Rs 3 per kg and six kgs of wheat at Rs 2 per kg; Akshaya computerised card holders can get four kg rice and one kg wheat (for one unit, considering one person as a unit), eight kg rice and one kg wheat (for two units), 12 kg rice and two kg wheat (for three units), 16 kg rice and three kg wheat (four units) and 20 kg rice, three kg wheat for five units.

The beneficiaries of Antyodaya Anna, Akshaya cards and those issued through Nemmadi centres can get half a kg of sugar. Non-LPG card holders in urban areas (Kolar and KGF) can get six litres of kerosene while those in Malur, Bangarpet, Mulbagal, Srinivaspur are entitled to five litres. The non-LPG card holders in rural areas get three litres, an official release said.
