Actor Huma Qureshi who will be seen opposite Akshay Kumar in Jolly LLB 2 is all praises for her co-star’s dedication and commitment.

“I have learnt a lot from Akshay. Being at the top of his game, he is an epitome of how one can balance work and personal life. I have seen him work very hard. He wakes up early, finishes shoots and spends time with his family. He has been doing it for years
and is such an inspiration.

His energy, commitment and dedication are something I admire,” Qureshi tells
Metrolife.

Appreciated for her role in her debut Gangs of Wasseypur I, followed by the sequel, Gangs of Wasseypur II and films like Dedh Ishqiya and Badlapur, the actor has recently wrapped up the shooting of Dobara with her brother Saqib Saleem.

While Dobara is a remake of Hollywood thriller Oculus’, Gurinder Chadha’s Viceroy House explores a love story during partition.

“I not only have a role which I was excited about, it is also a subject that is close to us as Indians vis-a-vis the relationship between two countries. The film is about the genesis of it. For me, the film is a reminder of what we have forgotten; the lessons that history teaches us,” says the 30-year-old, adding, “Gurinder has made some amazing films. She has great zest and is very specific about what she wants.”

The actor who was recently in the city for the launch of redesigned line of Western Digital’s ‘My Passport’ and ‘My Book’ hard drives, candidly admits that she prefers gadgets that are “sleek and cool”.

“I am technologically-challenged. I only look towards gadgets that are convenient to use, look sleek and trendy,” shares Qureshi, who likes to watch all kinds of films including thriller, romance and comedy.

Ask her if she would do short films, a trend that has been catching up in the industry, and she ponders, and says, “It is a good idea. I might just take up short films.”
