With this, as many as 139 of 176 taluks in the state will be included in the drought- hit list.<br /><br />Speaking to reporters, Thimmappa said the government has submitted a report to the Centre seeking a compensation of Rs 3,373 crore for drought relief. A Central team is scheduled to visit the drought affected areas of the state from November 2 to 5.<br /></p>
