The third unit of the Ballari Thermal Power Plant (BTPS) stopped power generation on Sunday. The unit was not functioning since September 26 and had resumed production only on Friday.
Sources in the BTPS said that a technical snag had affected the power generation at third unit, which would soon be repaired.
Of the two units which are in operation, the first one generated 423 MW and the third unit produced 453 MW power on Sunday.
