More muscles, few thrills

Force 2
Hindi (U/A)  ¬¬
Cast: John Abraham, Sonakshi Sinha, Tahir Raj Bhasin
Director: Abhinay Deo

Spies arrive by the dozen here. Sigh, none of them gives the espionage tale a high. So when agent KK (Sonakshi Sinha, co-mpeting with Alice in Wonderland) and cop Yash (John Abraham, ‘mess with me and get smashed into the nearest car’) land in Budapest to prevent the Chinese from killing our RAW agents, it looks like an all too familiar cat-and-mouse.

Of the two, Sonakshi is supposed to be bursting with grey matter, but turns out to be more dim-witted than the Hungarian bar dancer (another spy, phew!) who is willing to trade top secrets for sex with John.

Our hunk, by the way, possesses a sharp mind beneath all those bulging muscles (which all his outfits successfully fail to contain). But all the common sense and brawn is no match for Tahir Raj Bhasin (the only formidable force in Force 2). The man makes for an interesting villain, with his edgy act and mouth organ moments.

John Abraham carries much of his bulk with elan but is let down by a script that makes a spy tale of this scale look silly. Budapest looks beautiful, though.
