Develop interest in the betterment of environment: DCF
Deputy Conservator of Forest Chikkanareppa has called upon people to save the nature to save the world.
He was speaking after inaugurating an awareness camp on ‘Climate Change’ organised by the Forest and Environment Ministry, State Vijnana Parishat and Mega Institute at the Muddenahalli Government High School in the taluk.He called upon the school students to plant trees and develop interest in the betterment of environment.
Speaking on the occasion, zilla parishat member Ravikumar said the climate change is having an adverse impact on the environment. The children must be told about the impact of climate change on the human life. They should also be taught the importance of planting saplings, he added.
G N Ramesh of State Vijnana Parishat opined that felling of trees have contributed to the growing imbalance in the environment. “All of us should plant saplings and reduce the use of plastic,” he said.District convenor of Environment Protection Front H K Laxmipathi also stressed on the need to protect the environment. Teacher Satyappa spoke on the occasion. Shashikala of Mega Institute welcomed the gathering and Devaraj proposed vote of thanks.
