If you want to soak in the Rajyotsava spirit and experience the enchanting journey through many facets of Whitefield, then Whitefield Habba is your calling.

Whitefield Rising (WR), with the support of villagers around Whitefield, has organised the first-of-its-kind Habba on November 27. Apart from an array of cultural activities, one can get a glimpse into the world of many artistes and entrepreneurs from the locality.

The highlights of the festival are traditional programmes such as Dollu Kunitha, Mallakhamba and Garudi Gombe. The visitors will get to experience Whitefield's Anglo Indian Settler's presence with one of the old time residents Sam Peck's songs.

“Culinary delights reflecting cuisines from various parts of Karnataka such as Sol Kadi, Panaka, Nuchinunde, Jolada Rotti/Yennagai, Mandakki, Halbai and other items will be additional attractions. We have been preparing for the Habba for two months and this is the first time, we the residents, as one community, are planning to celebrate Rajyotsava," Hari Gowda, WR champion, said.

The programme also aims to bring together people belonging to diverse backgrounds and residing in different parts of BBMP's Mahadevapura Zone.

Whitefield Habba will take place at Inner Circle Ground, Whitefield, from 2 pm to 8 pm on November 27. There is no entry fee.
