Japanese Scholarship
Asian Development Bank (ADB) invites applications for Japan Scholarship
Programme for the year 2017. Students who have completed their graduation courses and have been admitted to one-year MA/PhD courses in Economics, Management Science and Technology at participating academic institutes are eligible.
Applicants must be less than 35 years of age and have a good academic record. A special grant is available for those scholars who are engaged in research, for thesis preparation. The last date to apply is December 31, 2016. For details, log on to

Photography scholarships
Each year, World Nomads offers Travel Photography Scholarships to turn the passion of the candidates into a profession. Applicants will have to shoot a minimum of five images and craft a story in about 1,500 words, regarding the same image. The last date to apply is December 14, 2016. Applicants must be or more than 18 years of age at the time of applying and must have a passion for photography. Healthcare management
Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta (IIM-C) has introduced Postgraduate Certificate in Healthcare Management (PGCHM). This one-year residential programme is tailor-made for healthcare practitioners and administrators.

Postgraduate scholarships
To recognise academic achievement and to attract the best science students from across the globe, the Faculty of Science at The University of Strathclyde, Glasgow is offering a range of scholarships for international students in 2017-18.The deadline to apply is September 1, 2017. Fellowships
Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Fund Fellowships are open to scholars in the disciplines of science as well as the humanities, and also to categories of people not normally covered by existing schemes, such as writers, journalists, artists and civil servants — for undertaking not only projects of highly sophisticated and technical subjects, but also for in-depth study of current problems relevant to the India of today.

Teach for India Fellowship
Teach for India, a non-profit organisation, is accepting applications for the third round of its 2017-2019 Fellowship programme. Each year, Teach for India selects outstanding graduates and young professionals through a rigorous selection process. The Fellows commit full-time for two years to teach underprivileged children across seven cities in India. As of 2016, the programme has recruited Fellows from more than 300 colleges and 500 corporates.

Management International Scholarships
Sheffield University Management School is offering Management International Scholarships to Indian undergraduate students starting their studies in the Management School in September 2017. The scholarships are worth £2,000 per year. The scholarships are for full-time and part-time students only. Students studying online or via distance learning are not eligible for
the scholarships.

Mani Mann Fellowship
Sanskriti Foundation invites applications for the Mani Mann Fellowship 2017. This award is given to young musicians in the age group of 25 to 40 years. The duration of the fellowship will be one year in which candidates have to live with a guru and take guidance from him or her only.
The grant of Rs one lakh will be given in two phases, first at the time of the commencement of the programme and next, after the submission of the project when the candidate will give a vocal recital. Interested candidate can apply to this programme by sending their CV and synopsis of the project. The candidates have to sign an agreement with Sanskriti Foundation during the fellowship period. ICMR Visiting Fellow Scheme
ICMR is offering Visiting Fellow Scheme 2017 for creating and nurturing talent in many disciplines, such as communicable and non-communicable diseases, basic medical sciences, reproductive health including nutrition, human resource developments, etc. to foster high-quality research opportunities.
ICMR offers five fellowships every year. The tenure will be of three years and can be extendable for two more years based on outstanding performance and recommendations. The last date to apply is

Cultural performance
Redefining Equality and e-Quality in education is the central theme of Rubaru: a rural-urban children connect event that is being organised by eVidyaloka.
As a run-up to this event, a series of online student exchanges are being conducted in the participating schools, cherishing the spirit of Joy of Giving (Daan Utsav -2016).
On this occasion, a panel of eminent academicians and thought leaders from leading institutions are being invited to share their views, perspectives and outlook on the ‘Digital highway to bridge the Rural-Urban education divide’.

Young India Fellowship
The Young India Fellowship (YIF) is a one year postgraduate diploma programme in Liberal Studies, in which a group of 215 students get together across the country, and they get the training them to bring the change. The main aim is to develop critical thinking from many perspective, effective communication and leading capabilities to public service.
The Fellowship at Ashoka University, Haryana, is delivered in collaboration with University of Pennsylvania’s School of Engineering and Applied Sciences (SEAS), Carleton College, University of California Berkeley, University of Michigan, King’s College London, Trinity College Dublin, Sciences Po, Yale University and Wellesley College.
