'Depressed' CAR cop hangs himself

A constable attached to the City Armed Reserve (CAR) committed suicide by hanging from the ceiling of his house at Mathikere on Monday noon.

According to the police, the deceased is Mahesh, 38. He was residing with his wife. The constable took the extreme step at around 2 pm, when there was no one in the house. 

The incident came to light when his wife returned home from work. She alerted the neighbours, who informed the Yeshwantpur police. Mahesh was shifted to a nearby private hospital, where he was declared brought dead.

DepressedMahesh, who was married thrice, was depressed in life after he had separated from his second wife. As his first wife succumbed to illness, he married again. But his second wife deserted him. He married for the third time after falling in love with his friend, said the police. A case has been registered at the Yeshwantpur police station.
