CeBIT Hannover, the largest computer expo in the world, has seen 188% increase in the Indian exhibitors since 2012, Mehul Lanvers-Shah, Managing Director, Hannover Milano Fairs India said.

“There were 14 participants from India in 2012. The number stood at 120 in 2016. For next year’s CeBIT Hannover, we are expecting 140 Indian exhibitors, out of which we expect 30 from Kerala, 10 from Odisha, 15 from Madhya Pradesh and five from Goa,” Shah said.

“We have seen a strong growth in Software as a Service(SaaS) exhibitors from India. Initially it was service provision based exhibitors only,” he added.

He said that with demonetisation in India, there can be an emphasis on the payment securities in the CeBIT Hannover.

The partner country for CeBIT 2017 will be Japan. “We are expecting large participants from technology companies of Japan,” Marius Feizmann, Senior-Vice President, Deutsche Messe said.
