Symphony Summit on expansion mode in India

India contributes 80% of company's revenue

Symphony Summit, a leading provider of private and public cloud-based IT operations management (ITOM) solutions to enterprises and service providers, is planning to expand its India operation and workforce.

In an interaction with DH, Symphony Summit CEO Satyen Vyas said it has operations in three cities, including Mumbai, Delhi and Bengaluru. “In 2017, we will be in at least two more cities, Pune and Hyderabad, and possibly Chennai. We will keep expanding our reach, and we have marked upon a very well-structured partner programme,” he said.

The company has 200 employees working at its India development centre. “We might double the number next year to cater to the growing demand,” said Vyas. He said the company is focused mostly on India for at least two to three years.  “India is our first market, and it has the largest set of customers for us,” he said.

Vyas said the company also decided to focus on government business for the next year. “Today, we do have government investments and customers, but there are three or four of them. So we have planned to invest more in that space as well,” he said.

When asked about the unique selling proposition of the company, he said it unifies four key processes across service, asset, availability and project management. “Summit’s flagship solution Summit ITOM Platform, released at Fusion 16 reduces cost and complexity of IT operations while improving efficiency, productivity, predictability and control,” he said.

The Summit platform is an advanced ITIL 2011 certified solution that supports CIOs in navigating technological challenges and gaining complete control of IT operations. The platform’s Productivity 360, with six productivity engines built on it, helps in productivity enhancement.

Currently, the company has 130-140 clients and has registered a growth of 70-80% from the revenue standpoint in 2016. “Our belief is that the market is really large at $5 billion. We will continue to grow at this rate in the next three to four years. From the booking standpoint, Symphony Summit will register almost double digit growth with the geographical expansion,” he said.

Summit Software, backed by the Palo Alto-headquartered $2.5 billion Symphony Technology Group, has started focusing on Australia, the US and other markets in 2016 as part of getting more customers in the new geographies.

“About 80% of our customers are in India and only 20% are outside India, in Singapore, Africa, the US, Australia, etc,” he said.
