JOIN USBengaluru Development Minister K J George on Thursday reviewed civic works taken up at Sagayapuram, Muneshwara Block and Devarajeevanahalli.
He instructed BBMP and BWSSB officials to speed up works related to road repair, underground drainage, desilting of stormwater drains and clearing garbage at Muneshwara Block.
Following a request from Sagayapuram corporator Elumalai, the minister instructed BBMP to take up construction of a hospital on the land where a defunct hostel belonging to the Social Welfare department is situated. The minister told the public that he would discuss the issue of providing space for road works linking Savar Line to Kaval Byrasandra with military officials. He instructed BBMP officials to take up construction of a ground-level reservoir at Kaval Byrasandra within a month as the government had already alloted land for the work.
He said a meeting would be convened with Pulikeshinagar MLA and corporators within a fortnight to discuss overall development of the constituency.
The minister later took part in the ground-breaking ceremony organised by BWSSB under Amrut scheme on Hennur Main Road, to lay a new pipeline for Cauvery drinking water supply.
Mayor G Padmavathi along with corporators Elumalai (Sagayapuram), Sampath Raj (Devarajeevanahalli) and Sajida Begum (Muneshwara ward) were present during the inspection.
