Good times ahead for Karan

Karan Gulani, who made his directorial debut under Bollywood-turned-Hollywood actor Priyanka Chopra’s production house, Purple Pebble Pictures, admits that the new experience did make him a little nervous but as time passed, he grew quite positive and confident as a director.

However, Gulani reveals that he approached the ‘Quantico’ girl for the lead role in a Hindi project, but as she was busy shooting in USA, he met her mother Madhu Chopra and narrated the story to her. She liked it and he later received the signing amount.

“I think the best part of being a director is that it allows you to bring the story in your own vision and at the same time it also enables you to live many characters in a film,” said Karan, adding that he was looking forward to coming up with real stories. Moreover, he also praised the Priyanka’s initiative of promoting regional cinema,  saying “language can never be a barrier to tell a good story.” Featuring Amrinder Gill and Simi Chahal in the lead role, ‘Sarvann’ is PeeCee’s third movie as producer and it  showcases the journey of a young rebellious boy who later turns out to be an ideal son.
