JOIN USBFlat, Indiranagar, will present an evening of jazz standards and gypsy jazz with veteran pianist Dan Roth from New York and ‘The Django Twins’.
The evening will begin with a solo piano set by Dan Roth followed by an acoustic guitar set by ‘The Django Twins’, who will invite Dan Roth to jam with them on their set. The performance will take place on January 20, 9 pm onwards.
Dan Roth is a veteran jazz and blues pianist and guitarist from New York, who has played with some jazz greats including Ray Charles, Muddy Waters, Concha Buika and The Vibe, featuring the great saxophonist Norbert Fimpel.
‘The Django Twins’ will feature Siddharth Gautam and Joey Sharma on acoustic guitar. The two are accomplished guitarists who play in the style of the great pioneer of gypsy jazz, ‘Django Reinhardt’.
The duo have been exploring this music for the last two years now and will play a mix of popular gypsy jazz tunes as well as some jazz standards.
