Students Union rally to hold MEG

Akshay turned out to be the super-sub with a late goal as Students Union held MEG and Centre to a 2-2 draw in their BDFA Super Division football league tie at the Bangalore Football stadium on Sunday.

A free-flowing MEG were the first to strike with Christopher finding the back of the net as early as the seventh minute.

Later, they managed to double the advantage before the half-time with Dhanji Singh getting his name on the scoring sheet in the 36th minute.

Returning with renewed purpose, Students Union pulled one back in the 55th minute with Praveen scoring the goal. Pushing for the equaliser, the Union side drew parity in the 80th minute as Akshay latched on to a prefect pass from Emmanuel to deposit the ball past a hapless MEG ’keeper.
